In my detox I focus on removing the most toxic (and often addictive) foods and replacing them with organic whole foods. Foods that are tough to digest and cause a lot of gas, like legumes, are also removed, in order to give my gut a chance to heal.
I am now on Day 2, and I am still feeling great. I feel stuffed after a balanced meal of proteins, vegetables, and good fats. I am not missing any of the foods I used to eat, but my sub-conscience is missing the routine. I mentioned I was eating at least 5 meals before, but am now down to 4 meals, spaced out with at least 4 hours in between: 7AM, 11AM, 3PM, and 7PM. Subconsciously I am still looking for my second breakfast around 9:30AM-10AM, even though I am not feeling hungry.
Routine and habits are everything! And, because they are so important to us humans, we need to replace unhealthy habits with good ones, until they become our new routine.
